Start a hiking tour on the tenth day. The hiking tour will last the following three days. Walk about 15km per day and it takes about 6-7 hours per day to finish the hiking tour. Discover the mystery of the sacred mountain and the holy lake in Tibet.

Day 1

Day 2

Place & Transport: Lhasa
Today's Activities: Barkhor Street, Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Barkhor Street: Watch the pilgrims, wearing local dress from many different parts of Tibet, as they circle clockwise around Jokhang Temple with prayer wheels, or prostrate themselves near the front gate. Join the locals and visitors to shop for local goods at the colourful stalls, or relax in a coffee shop or tea house to enjoy the passing parade.
- Jokhang Temple: Smaller and more manageable than the Potala, this 4-storey, golden-roofed temple is at the heart of a rich and living Tibetan Buddhism. Many locals pray here regularly; the Temple is surrounded by Barkhor Street and thronged with pilgrims and visitors. Yak butter lamps burn in front of rich statuary that includes the Sakyamuni Buddha brought to Tibet by Princess Wen Cheng in the 7th Century.
- Potala Palace: Former winter home of the Dalai Lama, a vast, awe-inspiring maze of corridors and stairs leading through countless rooms of richly decorated statues, tombs, murals and antiques. You will climb past the White Palace into the Red Palace, where the file of pilgrims offering silk scarves, coins or yak butter to burn in the shrines combine to make this an unforgettable experience. Note: you need to be fit for the long stairways.

Day 3

Place & Transport: Lhasa
Today's Activities: Drepung Monastery, Norbulingka, Sera Monastery

- Drepung Monastery: Drepung Monastery lies in west of Lhasa under Mt. Gambo Utse, clustered round by the black mountain, its white grand buildings shining under the sunlight. Built in 1416, it is considered as one of the largest monasteries in the six principle monasteries of Gelu Sect in China. Drepung Monastery used to be the living palace of Dalai Lamas before the reconstruction of Potala palace (after the 5th Dalai Lamas was bestowed by Qing emperor Qianlong). The grand Shonton Festival is hold in the early part of August every year. That is the busiest day there with crowds of people. It is an opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of this festival.
- Norbulingka: Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served the whole governmental administration.
- Sera Monastery: It is known as one of the three greatest monasteries of Tibet. As one of the three main monasteries of Lhasa, it is here that the monks "famous daily debates" take place.

Day 4

Place & Transport: Lhasa to Gyantze

- The Palgor Chorten : Pelkhor Choede (Kumbum), also named Palcho Monastery, is very different from other monasteries. Built as a Tibetan monastery, its structural style is very unique, reputed as the lord of Tibetan stupas. In addition, it is famous for the architecture, sculpture, and mural painting art. It lies about 270 kilometers (168 miles) south of Lhasa and 100 (62 miles) east of Shigatse at the foot of Dzong Hill.
- Yomdrok Lake: It lies within the boundary of Nankartse county, on the north bank of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, Lhokha Prefecture, surrounded by mountains. Beautiful Holy lake which everybody is looking forward to.

Day 5

Place & Transport: Gyantze to Shigatse
Today's Activities: Tashilunpo Monastery
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

- Tashilunpo Monastery: Painted in red and white, the buildings in the kloster stand closely together in terraced rows, offering a grand and majestic view. Tashilunpo Kloster represents the Tibetan super architecture art in the Last Tibetan spirit. The Kloster attracts thousands of Buddhists and tourists from domestic and abroad to travel and worship every year.

Day 6

Place & Transport: Shigatse to Sakya

- Sakya Monastery: Sakya Monastery is the first Sakyapa sect of Tibetan Buddhism created by its initiator Khon Konchog Gyalpo in 1073. The monastery has a colossal collection of highly valuable art pieces, including abundance handwriting sutra copied by all the Tibetan calligraphists. Sakya's collection of treasures also contains 3,000 pieces of sutras that have thousands of years history.

Day 7

Place & Transport: Sakya to Saga
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary:
Drive to Saga for about 350 km. It takes about seven hours to arrive in Saga. Located in the Southwest Tibet, Saga means "the lovely place" In Tibetan. Animal husbandry is relatively developed. The sceneries along the way include meadows, rivers and snow mountains. Stay at the Hostel tonight.

Day 8

Place & Transport: Saga to Payang
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary:
Drive to Saga for about 300 km. It takes about six hours to arrive in Paryang. Paryang is the entrance of the Ngari Plateau. The sceneries along the way include brooks, sand dunes and snow mountains. Stay at the Hostel tonight.

Day 9

Place & Transport: Payang to Darchen
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary:
Drive to Tarchen for about 330 km. It takes about sevenx hours to arrive in Tarchen. Tarchen is located at the foot of the Mt. Kailash and it the start point of the Hiking. The sceneries along the way include lakes, small villages and snow mountains. Stay at the Hostel tonight.

Day 10

Place & Transport: Darchen to Mt.Kailash
Today's Activities: Mt.Kailash, Mt.Kangrinboqe
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary:
Walk about 23 km to Dri-ra-puk. It takes about seven hours to finish the hiking today. Sutra streamers, Mani stones and small Tibetan temple are found on the way. En route, see the east and north face of Mt. Kailash Pass the valley, go across the river and arrive at Dri-ra-puk. Overnight camp in Dri-ra-puk.

Day 11

Place & Transport: Mt.Kailash
Today's Activities: Mt.Kailash

Detailed Itinerary:
Walk about 23 km from Dri-ra-puk to Zutrul Puk. It is the hardest day. Leading up towards a high pass – Dromala(5630m), and head to Zutrul Puk, the renowned meditating cave for Milarepa. Overnight camp in Zutrul Puk.

Day 12

Place & Transport: Mt.Kailash
Today's Activities: Mt.Kailash, Mapam Yumco Lake(Lake Manasarovar)
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary:
From Zutrul Puk to Manasarovar Lake. This is the final day of circumambulation of Mt.Kailash. Manasarovar Lake is one the three holy lake of Tibet. It is a fresh lake with the highest altitude. It is also renowned as the holiest lake.

Day 13

Place & Transport: Mt.Kailash to Payang
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary:
Back to Paryang from Manasarovar Lake for about 330 km., it takes about seven hours to arrive at Paryang. En route cross several branches of Yarlung Tsangpo River. Stay at the Hostel tonight.

Day 14

Place & Transport: Payang to Saga
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary:
Drive from Paryang to Saga and stay at the Hostel tonight.

Day 15

Place & Transport: Saga to Dingri
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary:
Drive to Tingri from Saga. It takes about eight hours to arrive in Tingri. See the natural sceneries along the way and have a rest at the hotel.

Hiking Tips:
1. The condition in the remote hostel is not good as it is in the city. The hot water might not be supplied sometimes.
2. Camp overnight in the remote towns is available as the outdoor equipments are prepared before leaving Lhasa. It is recommended to purchase a sleeping bag in Lhasa if necessary.
3. Packed lunch will be supplied from Saga. Breakfasts and dinners will be cooked by the chef as a companion.
4. Take daily necessities and medicine. Pay attention to keeping warm.
5. Please follow the instructions of the guide. To be cautious is a wise way to do with the health and safety issue.

Day 16

Place & Transport: Dingri to Zhangmu

- Rongbuk Monastery: With an altitude is 5,100 meters (16728 feet), the monastery is the highest on earth. From there you will get a great view of Mt Everest.
Mt. Everest, called Mount Qumulangma in Tibetan Language, is the highest peak of the Earth and probably the most coveted mountain in adventurous travelers' eyes. Journey to Mt.
