China Highlights is totally legit and they planned our visit in Beijing perfectly, they were also great with being flexible to meet our unique needs and timelines, with multiple changes on the fly. Our guide in Beijing, William, was amazing as well! William was friendly, kind, thoughtful, funny, and also was great at keeping us on track timing-wise (as we didn’t make this particularly easy for him lol). Cannot recommend both China Highlights and William to anyone else looking to visit China for the first time!

Jenny's Wissen der historischen und aktuellen Bedeutung der Region für deren Entwicklung hat mich begeistert. Temperamentvoll und engagiert lie? sie mich auch am authentischen Leben in der Stadt teilnehmen, dadurch hatte ich wundervolle Begegnungen mit interessanten Menschen. Meine Ispiration Xi'an nochmals zu besuchen und wieder mit Jenny Yang Neues zu entdecken, habe ich mit nach Hause genommen. Mein Programm waren, Die gro?e Wildganspagode, die Terrakotta Armee, das muslimische Vietel, die Stadtmauer, die Dynastie Show und viele kleine Begegnungen haben mir bleibende Erinnerungen geschenkt, dafür herzlich Dank Barbara

My friends and I are here to celebrate a couple of birthday's one being a big special one. Visiting Xi’an was an unforgettable experience, made truly exceptional by our incredible tour guide Crystal . From start to finish, she went above and beyond to ensure every moment was seamless and special. Nothing was ever too much trouble—her kindness, deep knowledge of the city’s vast history, and genuine care made us feel so welcomed and cared for, we had a great laugh with her, my friend gave her a new name, "Pocket Rocket " she was so fast and got things done. Thanks to her, we not only saw the sights but truly connected with the culture. I would % recommend her to anyone visiting Xi’an, I doubt you'd find a more dedicated or thoughtful guide. She's passionate and thoroughly enjoys her job.

My partner and I had an amazing 3 days in Xian thanks to our great tour guide Jerry, who showed us the wonderful sites. He was very knowledgeable, chatty and has a great sense of humour making the trip fun and memorable. Jerry very quickly learned that we are foodies, during our food tour he selected some delicious treats for us to try.

I'm so happy to travel in China for 21 days with China Highlights! My two days with Lin, my guide in Xi'an, were wonderful. She welcomed me with a great kindness at the huge Xi'an train station and showed great sense of service. She speaks an excellent English and taught me a lot about the Terracotta Warriors. We also visited different parts of Xi'an before heading to the airport. Thank you so much, Lin, you are an excellent guide ??

Fue una experiencia fantástica. Nos ha encantado Cheng du, el gran buda de Leshan ( es impresionante), y el encanto de la reserva de los pandas . Pero sobre todo, nuestra guapísima guía Lora, habla estupendamente espa?ol, y su conocimiento de la zona y amabilidad nos enamoraron. Recomendamos sin lugar a dudas la visita a Cheng du, y si es con Lora ?Mejor!

Helen, our private guide in Chendu, was just the best. An ABSOLUTE 6 Star Guide. She met us from the airport, calmly reviewed out 3 day itinerary, checked all was as we expected, and then spent 3 days ensuring we have the best time possible. Helen was lovely and was very flexible to our needs, and changed a few things for us. She took us on so many unscheduled activities, such as a Local Street Foodie tour, which was just fabulous, and tea in the local park, with ear cleaning, and a “marriage market” (although we couldn’t offload our daughter there !). Helen seemed to be telepathic in understanding what we wanted, and you could see she was thinking and adjusting everything all the time, to suit us. If I was running a Tour Company I would get her to train everyone. Helen from Xian - 6 Stars ******.

Wir waren w?hrend unserer 14 t?gigen Rundreise in China restlos begeistert von Land, Leute, Kultur und Essen. Alle Autos waren sauber und gepflegt und neuere Modelle. Bei unseren stets pünktlichen Fahrern haben wir uns sicher und bestens gefühlt. St?ndig hat man uns Wasser angeboten, einfach toll. Unsere Reiseführer sprachen flie?end deutsch und hatten ein umfassendes Wissen bei den jeweiligen Ausflügen und haben den ganzen Tag dafür gesorgt, dass es uns an nichts fehlt. Besonders waren auch die extravaganten Ausflüge wie z.B.einen Terrakotta Krieger selber basteln und mit nach Hause nehmen, oder die Radltour auf der Stadtmauer von Xi'An. Como parte de un viaje de 22 días en China, estuvimos en Guilin con Alonso de guía en espa?ol. Muy interesantes los paseos previstos por la agencia y la ubicación del hotel frente a un lago hermosísimo y en pleno centro. Paseamos por campos de arrozales, visitamos pueblo de minorías, pagodas, barco por río Li y cuevas de estalactitas y estalagmitas (flauta de ca?a) que superaron mis expectativas previas. Clima caluroso y húmedo con algo de lluvia, pero muy disfrutable igualmente. Alonso hizo que nuestra estadía fuera maravillosa, con su muy buen espa?ol y, sobre todo, su muy buena onda. Nos ayudó en todo lo que precisábamos (farmacia, por ejemplo), además de ayudarnos a elegir la comida en los almuerzos que lo hizo más disfrutable aún! Gracias

We visited Lhasa for our wedding anniversary. Grace was an excellent guide—kind, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about her work. She gracefully guided us through the temples and shared valuable insights on Tibetan Buddhism. We thoroughly enjoyed her company.

Our visit to Lhasa was incredible ... not to be missed. Our local guide, Pem, was not only very knowledgeable about each of the sites we visited, he was also very passionate about his culture and his religion. We learned so much from Pem in just a few short days. Thanks. Another local guide, Grace, was also very pleasant and great at personalizing the area. Both guides chose fantastic local restaurants for lunch, suitable for relaxing with some conversation. Our hotel had oxygen machines and cannisters in the room to aid with altitude issues.

Absolutely loved Lhasa, it was amazing, what a place! Our brilliant guide, Cheozom, walked us through years of history and culture and took us to all the key sites with kindness and good humour, making sure we could focus on enjoying it while she took care of every detail. Just a great trip!

Extraordinary Lhasa, Amazing Potala Palace and Sera Temple, showed to me by Pem, excellent guide. He knows very well his job, and has a very good knowledge of these region. Highly recommended.

We just had a two day tour from may 28th in Suzhou with our guide Brenda. She is very experienced and knowledgeable about the city and its history. She was always available for questions and tips online even at night. We loved how she presented the history in a comprehensive way that did not overwhelm us but rather contributed to the landscape. She was very flexible in adjusting the schedule to our needs. She picked authentic delicious restaurants for lunch just as we requested. It was an amazing experience, and we would recommend her as a guide at any time.

My partner and I spent two and a half days in Suzhou last week, with an itinerary arranged by China Highlights. The area in and around the city was a high spot of our 2-week tour in the region around Shanghai. Fabulous museums, ancient canals and historic gardens. Our Suzhou guide Brenda was topnotch; extremely knowledgeable about both old and new China and a lovely person to spend time with too. We preferred Suzhou to Hangzhou, I must say.

We had a fun 6 days private tour to Wuxi, Yixing, Suzhou and Xitang where MI 3 was filmed. Our tour guide Brenda is very knowledgeable about Chinese history, rearranged our schedule to avoid holiday crowds, took us to local restaurant where we got to try delicious authentic local specialties, and gave us great recommendations we requested outside our tour like restaurants in Shanghai and spa for massage. And she took many pictures for us :) Highly recommend.

Abbiamo visitato la piccola Venezia della Cina con i suoi bei canali, giardini e stradine. La nostra guida Tracy è stata molto cordiale, disponibile e molto efficente nel spiegare i vari aspetti dei luoghi visitati. Il suo inglese e la pronuncia sono perfetti. La consigliamo vivamente!

Brenda showed us around Suzhou for 2 days and we had a great time! She is a proper local with lots of knowledge about the history of Suzhou, we learnt about plenty throughout the two days. Her english was excellent, and I would recommend to anyone who needs a friendly, knowledgeable guide to Suzhou. Thanks again Brenda

Nuestra estancia en Shanghái ha sido fantástica. En gran medida gracias a Francisco, nuestro extraordinario y muy amable guía. Para empezar es bilingue "de verdad" (chino / espa?ol), pero es que, además, sus comentarios son precisos y rigurosos. !Y qué decir de su detalle final!

Nuestra experiencia en Shanghái fue increíble, en gran parte gracias a nuestro guía, Francisco. Siempre atento y disponible, nos acompa?ó por los lugares más emblemáticos de la ciudad: el Jardín de Yuyuan, el Templo del Buda de Jade, la Concesión Francesa (especialmente el barrio Xintiandi), el famoso Bund y la impresionante Torre de Shanghái, donde subimos hasta el mirador para disfrutar de una vista panorámica inolvidable. Sus recomendaciones fueron excelentes, especialmente en lo culinario donde probamos platos típicos en restaurantes auténticos que no habríamos encontrado por nuestra cuenta.

Kenny was an absolutely amazing guide. She told us about the history of Shanghai and a lot of the wonderful sights. She also was able to quickly make changes to tour arrangements on the fly due to weather.

We just spent three wonderful days in this very special city.First day we were guided by Sean from China Highlights who showed us some of the most important touristic points, the TV tower, the bund, the garden.Friendly and with very good humor, he not added a lot of information but also entertained us. The following two days we were by ourselves, but Sean provided valuable insights. We walked through the French concession, exploited shikumen architecture, visited the narrow streets of Tian Anzi and later on the third days, the Shanghai museum and people’s square and took profit of the inumerous stores for some shopping .Great trip, great value.Thanks, Sean

Qi, our private guide in Shanghai, was very good. She was very flexible to our needs, and changed a few things for us. Qi was charming and helpful and good to chat with.Also I’d like to acknowledge and recommend Vanessa from China Travel who worked with my wife to create a perfect 15 day China tour plan for us. Vanessa was very responsive and understood what we wanted. We had a private tour, and I know this can be expensive, but if you can afford it the private tour is well worth the money.

We had a great time in Zhangjiajie, we were able to see incredible places. Alan, our guide, showed the best spots to appreciate what we were seeing and China highlights organized a comfortable way to discover each place.

I spend two wonderful days in Zhangjiajie. The sceneries of the national park and the Mountain Tianmen were beautiful! My tour guide, Alan, was very kind and helpful for me. He learned me a lot of things and we laughed a lot when we were under the heavy rain of june! It was a very nice experience. Thank you very much!

ZJJ has amazing views, incl the Tianmen Cave and Avatar mountains. Tour guide Sara was very informative. Stories of the Chinese minorities were interesting.

China Highlights organized our trip to Zhangjiajie in such a perfect way so we could experience the Tianmen Mountain (the Cave, the Glass Walkway), the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Bailong Sightseeing Elevator & Tianzi Mountain Cable, Yuanjiajie) and the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon (Baofeng Lake, Glass Bridge, the zipline) and more. Thanks to our guide David Nearby, our trip was so amazing! He took us to all the special spots, took care of us and being so knowledgeable, gave the best experience. David Nearby thank you!

J'ai passé un merveilleux séjour dans le Yunnan, grace à China Highlights et ses guides chaleureux et très professionnels ! à Kunming, Lulu m'a fait découvrir la sublime forêt de pierres Shilin et découvrir les trésors d'une dégustation de thé Pu'er. Dans les environs de Dali, Alice m'a concocté un délicieux tour des villages où le drama "Meet Yourself" a été tourné. J'en ai été très émue et je suis tombée sous le charme du lac Er Hai qui en est le c?ur ? J'ai également appris beaucoup sur la minorité Bai et l'art du Tie and dye. à Lijiang, c'est Jack qui m'a gentiment fait découvrir la vieille ville et les villages d'autres minorités locales. Il m'a aussi accompagnée dans la somptueuse Blue Moon Valley et ses lacs d'eau bleu turquoise, où les futurs mariés se précipitent pour faire des photos dans un cadre magnifique !

Our tour guide cum driver for Kunming, is Jack Lee. He took good care of us, especially when there is any descending or ascending hike during the trip. He gave excellent suggestion for dinner and even show us the authentic way to eat the food. We had a fantastic 6 days in Dali area. Our guide, 王立婷, is from the Bai ethnic group. She is very knowledgeable in the custom and history of Yunnan as well as the different Ethnic group of the area. We learn a lot of interesting things from her. If I were to go to Dali again, I will definitely look for her. The last stretch of our trip, is 3 days in Lijiang with our guide , 和绍春. He is from the Naxi Ethnic group. He shared with us his knowledge of his people and also how to handle high altitiude. Luckily for us, we had him to look out for us as some of us were unwell during and after the ascent of Yulong snow mountain. Last but not least, our driver, 卞师傅，spent 9 days with us and is a safe driver and a friendly person.

Thanks to Camillia Jiang from China Highlights who created our itinerary we had a wonderful holiday in Lijiang and Kunming. Our guides in Lijiang Alice and Lulu in kunming were wonderful in taking care of our needs from the word go and made our holidays so much better.

Our group of 8 had an amazing time in Yunnan with China Highlights!We’re on 9D8N tour in Shangrila, Lijiang, Dali and Kunming. Special thanks to Liberman (key coordinator) for his patience in meeting our many requests and changes, I’m really impressed with his good English competency, prompt responses and follow-up. We were blessed with great weather, sunshine when we visit Pudacuo and Songzhanlin, Hotel Indigo is an excellent choice for hotel stay in Shangrila. We were able to ascend Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang too, it was snowing slightly and the mountain was covered by thick white snow, making our experience a very special one. Thumbs up to Lijiang guide Jack, he’s one of the few guides who would hike up the mountain side by side with guests. Our special thanks goes to our guides - James (Shangrila), Jack (Lijiang), Alice (Dali), Lydia and May (Kunming). They have worked very hard to ensure our Yunnan experience is an amazing one with beautiful scenery, delicious food, great shopping! I will definitely travel with China Highlights again andwill highly recommend them to my friends.

5 star goes to Jessica Yang. Very punctual, responsible, accomodating, approachable, friendly and knowledgeable. If you visit DALI and would like an overview and or an express tour to see the highlights, try to ask for Jessica Yang and your trip will be AMAZING. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and will visit DALI again.

China Highlights did a great job in arranging everything seamlessly for us. We just sat back and relaxed. Our guide Alice was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, accommodating and gave us good tips for things to do etc. Having an English speaking guide made a big difference as our mandarin is pretty broken.

We had an amazing experience with Daisy as our tour guide. She was absolutely fantastic—friendly, positive, and incredibly attentive to our needs. From the start, she quickly understood what we as a family enjoyed, and tailored the trip perfectly. We loved the beautiful bike ride, the relaxing strolls through the old town, and especially the unforgettable tie-dye experience with a local family. She connected wonderfully with our children and made sure every detail was just right. The hotel she chose for us was also beautiful—truly a 5-star experience. Thank you so much, Daisy! We had a great experience with China Highlights in Yunnan. The itinerary was well executed with good tour guides. I'd like to commend Lulu in particular, our tour guide in Kunming. She handled our family of 9 quite well and was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Our time in Yunnan and Kunming was too short. We had a knowledgeable guide from China Highlights named Lulu. For English speakers Lulu majored in English. Our driver Mr. Han had very nice vehicle for us and like all the drivers with China Highlights his driving was fantastic. Lulu was patient for we were a bit stiff from 5 days of intense hiking prior to arriving at Kunming. The hotel: Cachet Boutique Hotel was perfect. The buffet breakfast was appropriate for Western and Eastern visitors. And the hotel restaurant/Biergarten had tasty German food options. The area around our hotel was easy to navigate and we were located within walking distance of the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archway. The highlight of our trip to Yunnan province was the Ancient Stone Forest. It was peaceful, and I love how they name many stone structures. It is a manageable walk / hike for all ages in my opinion. For birdwatchers they have boards listing local birds. After the Forest we stopped at a point and eat restaurant-Fabulous. My husband was a happy man with his duck meal. Kunming parks and people very friendly. Lulu's friend has a wonderful tea distribution shop- wish we had room in our suitcases to load up on some of the wonderful teas she showed us. The tea shop owner was very informative. Lulu's friend studied tea production, distribution, and everything tea at University. I highly doubt we have a tea degree in the US. Due to colder temperatures the Jacaranda trees were just beginning to bloom the day before we left the area. Lulu was determined to find me some blooming jacaranda-and luckily she tracked down a few locations.

China Highlights had arranged everything very perfect and I travelled by train , airline and car. Especially the guide Luna had done everything that I had a smooth travel,the car allways picked up in time, we visited all booked places, tours etc. I will probably book again with China Highlights the next trip to Yunnan, Sichuan or Tibet and hope that guide like Luna will make the travel so easy

The guides were all very good - professional, good local knowledge and language skills, and were all passionate about their work and seemed genuinely happy to be able to share details of their cities and cultures with us - special mention to Luna in Kunming, Jessica in Dali, Jack in Lijiang and Peter in tiger leaping gorge/Shangri-La - thanks to all of them for making our trip a great one!

Wir haben im Rahmen einer 3-w?chigen Chinarundreise auch das Huangshan Gebirge besucht, das zum UNESCO Naturkulturerbe z?hlt. Wir waren zwei Tage dort und sind mit unserem Guide Tony von China Highlights gewandert. Das Gebiet ist mit seinen bizarren Felsformationen, den Kieferw?ldern und Wolkenformationen, die st?ndig wechselnd zwischen den Felsen wabern wirklich einzigartig und eine Reise wert.Abends sind wir vom Hotel auf einen ?Peak“ geklettert und haben einen sensationellen Sonnenuntergang erlebt. Es gibt in der Gegend mehrere Berghotels-die Versorgung der Hotels wird immer noch durch Tr?ger sichergestellt, die die schweren Lasten auf ihren Schultern nach oben schleppen. Wenn man das einmal gesehen hat ist man dankbar für das gute Essen, dass man im Hotel bekommt. Also: Daumen hoch- das Ziel lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

Many years ago I asked my dearest Chinese professor in Australia where was the prettiest place to visit in China, he said "Yellow Mountain"...well we made it there in May this year. And to have also met with and had our amazing guide Suki to look after us and share her beautiful Huangshan with us was a treasured memory never to be forgotten. What a stunning experience, not for the faint hearted in regard to climbing, however there are options which Suki found for us as my knee injuries were not up to excessive steps etc so changes were made to accomodate my capacity. Thank you so much Suki for an exquisite stay. Tunxi Ancient Street, overnight on Yellow Mountain, Xidi Village and Hongcun Village, everything was superb. Robyn and Patrick

Wir haben am Nachmittag eine sehr sch?ne Wanderung zum Westsee Grand-Canyon gemacht und konnten die wundersch?ne Landschaft mit wenigen Leuten genie?en. Tony k?nnen wir nur empfehlen, da er durch sein Wissen, seiner Organisation punktet und mit uns vorab alles besprochen wurde. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

We travelled to Zhangjiajie in May 2025 . We are pleased to have Ann as our tour guide. She accommodated to our requests and guided us to shopping in the market and other places which were not part our original plan. I highly recommend her to anyone visiting here.

Our guide was April. She was exceptional. She shared so much knowledge about herbs..nature..and Chinese traditional medicine. She has a great respect for nature and has great knowledge about the region. We visited the ancient city of Hongcun and then went up the yellow mountain. The home of the inspiration behind Chinese mountain landscapes. What a magical journey we had!

We spent 3 days in Hangzhou and we couldn't be happier. We visited awesome places like Lingyin Temple, the west lake and the China Silk Museum thanks to the fantastic explanations of our guide Tim (who fortunately speaks English more than fluently) a very knowledgeable and nice guy who made the visits always full of interesting but never boring explanations...I wish I had teachers like that!!!

Hangzhou and Wuzhen were part of our 10-day Shanghai-Hangzhou-Suzhou tour planned by China Highlights. Our local guide Susan - a Hangzhou native, was friendly, professional and shared with us the history, stories and food highlights of Hangzhou. From the boat ride on West Lake, tasting tea at Meijiawu, seeing the view from Chenghuangge, buying traditional (and modern) wares at Qinghefang street, visiting Hu Xueyan's mansion, to Wuzhen's scenic water town, Susan gave us many interesting bits of information at each place. She ordered a selection of local specialties for lunch on both days, all delicious and many we haven't tried before. Too bad we couldn't finish the food! She also gave us tips on what to buy and places to see and eat at in our spare time outside of the tour. Susan also made sure all our transfers and check-ins were smooth. Some kid-friendly experiences were fun for my 2 boys - tea brewing and tasting ceremony at Meijiawu, and clay pot making/painting at Wuzhen. We especially liked Wuzhen's picturesque vibe, with lots of interesting collated history and craft displays (e.g. lotus feet shoes, indigo cloth dye). Thanks to Susan and China Highlights for an enjoyable trip to Hangzhou and Wuzhen!

Derek did a terrific job guiding us around the sights of Hangzhou and giving us outstanding restaurant tips. Also, my niece was not feeling well and Derek was prepared to take us to see a doctor if necessary. My niece enjoyed learning about the local education system from him.

We recently travelled to Hangzhou and had a fabulous time exploring the West Lake area which was absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide, Jill, was very friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. She planned a wonderful tour around her city and took us to the old town market street and treated us to the local dumplings. We also enjoyed the Hangzhou Memories show at West Lake. That was quite an impressive evening show! The next day she drove us to Xitang and showed us all around this water town and found a great place for lunch where she helped us order lunch. Jill was very kind and thoughtful and took good care of us while in Hangzhou.

We had an amazing trip to Shanghai, Suzhou ang Hangzhou. China highlights organised the whole trip very well. Special thanks to Sophie who planned the trip for us. Derek, our tour guide in Hangzhou was a gem. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He spoke very good English. We had a great time thanks to Derek who took care of all our needs.
