We were in Beijing for 7 days and went to the Great Wall, Gubei Watertown, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Lama Temple, Beihai Park, Confucius Temple, Ming and Qing Tombs. Also went to watch the Acrobatic Show and the Golden Mask Show. The views are fantastic and the shows are amazing. Our tour guide, Colin, from China Highlights was awesome. He planned our itinerary flawlessly and took us to restaurants that served great authentic local food. Colin is very caring of my elderly mother and provided superb service. Thank you, Colin, for making my trip memorable.

Extremely delighted with my Beijing tours. I was so fortunate to get Mark as my guide. and Hang to patiently drive us everywhere.Mark is extremely knowledgeable. witty and caring. We had a day trip to visit the Great Wall and Forbidden City. Our guide Jiang organised all our transportation, ticketing and food needs, such that we did not have to worry about a thing. Jiang also spoke fluent English and was passionate about sharing the history behind the Great Wall and Forbidden City which we explored for 3 hours each on foot.

My wife and I enjoyed our one day trip to Hangzhou. Our guide Derek took good care of us showing us the sights of Hangzhou.We also enjoyed the great food of Hangzhou. Derek brought us to Wai Po Jia for lunch where we had long jing xia ren. He also recommended the Hangzhou Jui Jia restaurant for dinner. We ordered the famous Beggar’s chicken and dong po rou. Both dishes are a must have when in Hangzhou.

My family and I visited Xi'an for two days and were accompanied by Sherry, our tour guide! Even though we stayed for a very short time, Sherry made sure we visited everything important and on time. And when the person who we were going to cook dumplings with got sick, Sherry managed the schedule changes smoothly and skillfully. Beyond that, witnessing the Terracotta Soldiers was a dream come true, but Sherry's explanation and availabilty to answer questions pushed it even further! And also, not only was she a fountain of knowledge, she was very kind and open, sharing with us her day-to-day experience living in Xi'an. Finally, since my area is Asian Studies and I study Chinese, Sherry also helped me with the language and academic curiosity in an enthusiastic way. In the end, my two favourite Xi'an activities were visiting the Terracotta Soldiers and its museum, of course, and making dumplings! I highly recommend China Highlights' tour in Xi'an, especially when accompanied by Sherry.

Xi’an is a fantastic city to visit, the Terra Cotta Warriors are incredible but there is more to see and do—and eat! Make sure you ask for Jenny, she is a fabulous guide, super interesting and informative and FUN! Our group ranged in age from 15-80 and she took care everything with a keen attention to detail and nuanced suggestions to make the trip extra special. The dumpling making experience was amazing and delicious and surprisingly maybe our favourite activity? Thank you thank you Jenny!

Helen was our tour guid and we very much enjoyed Xian and wished we could have spent more time as we only had a day. Our guide made sure we experienced all that we needed to see while out there even with our limited time. I would highly recommend visiting Xian and staying a few days to further explore the history.

Had a great experience in Xi’An with Ken! He’s a very knowledgeable and professional guide, providing fascinating insights into the Terracotta Army, the ancient city wall. He tailored the tour to our interests, but also ensure we had ample time to explore and take photos without feeling rushed. This tour was the highlight of our trip!

We took a trip to Chengdu and our guide Helen made it a fantastic expierence. She was knowledgable about the local areas and customised our plans throughout the day based on what we wanted to do. She helped us take good photos with the pandas and other good photo spots throughout the day. Our driver was also friendly and the car was spacious and cool.

We have had a great couple of days based in Chengdu with Evan from China Highlights. We have been well looked after, being collected and dropped off at the rail station and airport.Evan was very knowledgeable at each site but was fantastic at getting us to the best panda enclosures or the best positions to see the Buddhas. He was very flexible in arranging activities and took us to some great restaurants. We found the weather in March to be just right, mild and dry, slightly overcast cloud, so very comfortable and great light for pictures.

First time to Chengdu, greet by a lovely and friendly tour guide 谢菲菲。 The sightseeings are interesting and also 菲菲bought us try many local food and places such as 春熙路，IFS too. We are very satisfied the services of the driver

Our trip to Guilin with China Highlights was awesome. We did a boat trip on the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo as well as staying in Yangshuo and Xingping. The scenery was absolutely fantastic! There were limestone pillars everywhere and the people were so friendly. Our guide, William took us to all the best spots and gave us excellent historical and cultural information. He was always attentive and engaging with us. We sampled lots of delicious food as well as being introduced to local people - we even got some cooking lessons. Our hotels - Moondance (Yangshuo) and XingPing Island resort were friendly and welcoming family-style boutique hotels. Everything was so well organised we never had to worry about anything. (Thanks also to our CHL consultant, Chandler, who converted our original wish-list into an amazing itinerary).

We had a wonderful time with our guide William in Guilin. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and took great care of our large family group - including my 90 year old grandfather! We made so many great memories and were so sad to say goodbye to William when we left. I loved walking through old town and the river cruise to Yangshao. The sugar factory hotel was spectacular- if you come in the warm weather, don’t forget a bathing suit. Thank you China Highlights!

We asked China highlights for an itinerary visiting the places in Guilin we had chosen, and CoCo Yang has been very quick and responsive in preparing an itinerary to suit our needs. She has used her in-depth knowledge of each place to select activities that would interest us and be suitable for us . Lele in Guilin, whose enthusiasm and attention made us all anxious to get to know this beautiful city. Highly recommend Lele,CoCo,and China highlights.

I’ve never imagined Guilin being this beautiful and breathtaking. Especially the cruising the Li River is definitely one of the core memories for me. Thank you China Highlights and Tour guide Chase for making this happened.

Once in a lifetime Lhasa und Tibet besichtigen! Unsere Führerin Tseyang war spitze. Sie spricht ausgezeichnetes Englisch und kennt ihr Land sehr gut. Ich hatte gesundheitliche Probleme und Tseyang war sofort da, und ins Krankenhaus zu begleiten und den Weg zu bahnen, ohne Sprachkenntnisse unm?glich!

We did a 7 day tour of Tibet with China Highlights. The guide was Phurbu. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We are repeat customers of this travel agency because they deliver a high quality tour with enormous flexibility. From the beginning they helped us getting the necessary permits. The quality of the sites we visited was amazing and we always had ample time to enjoy. We had a major setback as the government closed the access to the Everest area so our tour had to be rerouted. We were initially disappointed but we ended up visiting lake Namso and that was incredible. The agency offered a dinner in compensation even as it wasn’t their fault Phurbu introduced us patiently to his culture and to the Tibetan gastronomy. We had lunch and breakfast in around 10 typical places and the quality was always good.

There’s so much to say about this trip and our guide and driver who made it amazing for us. The culture and the sites are incredible to witness. From Lhasa to Shigatse to Everest Basecamp to Qirong Border, our guide (Dechen) gave us the most amazing tour and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the sites along the way. She made sure we felt welcome and were comfortable the entire time (from picking us up at the airport with traditional scarves, having heavy blankets ready to keep us warm, prayer flags for us to experience local culture, and oxygen bottles for us when the altitude got to us). Such an incredible experience, made even better by our guide Dechen and our amazing driver who got us around safely and comfortably. How he could navigate hundreds of switchbacks without making us carsick is a true testament to his driving skills. We felt very safe with him at the wheel. Thank you both!

We are a family of 4 with two kids with allergy. This was our third time travelling with China Highlights. So Leon, our planning guide, knows very well what our requirements and likings are. All the planning was as smooth as they can be. Our local Lhasa guide was Khamsang who has excellent knowledge in all things Tibet, from nomad's life style, city life, religion, food and many more. This was children's first time on high altitude trip and as had expected one of them got quite sick. Khamsang, a mother herself, was very quick to take us to the pharmacy and received proper care in time. Although winter isn't peak travelling season of Lhasa because of it's temperature, we enjoyed this extraordinary trip because of both Leon and Khamsang. Highly recommend!

Brenda was our tour guide in Zhou Zhuang and Shanghai. We had a great time in Zhou Zhuang and Shanghai. Zhou Zhuang is definitely the water town to visit if you can only visit one. Brenda was able to meet all our needs, even assisted us with a trip to the ER in Zhou Zhuang and translated for us. Chinese healthcare system is very quick and cheap. We were able to see a doctor, get lab works, ultrasound and medication all within an hour. The cost was about $50 USD. That did not affect our trip. We enjoyed the restaurants she took us to. When our tour was supposed to end around 2pm in Shanghai, Brenda and the driver made sure that we completed all the activities we wanted to do. I highly recommend Brenda as a tour guide and using China Highlights to plan out your trip to China.

My wife and I are touring China through China Highlights and when in Suzhou, we were blessed to Brenda as our guide. Brenda is an outstanding friendly guide whose knowledge of the area and whose English is excellent. Ray ‘s purpose in coming to Suzhou was to take a canal boat ride. Brenda arranged boat rides both in Suzhou and Tongli which were both marvellous. We also visited the famous leaning Buddhist Temple and the embroidery complex. She also took time to show us a great eating area close to our hotel. Brenda is currently with us in Shanghai where she shown us how to walk easily down to the river to look over the amazing new buildings and the Bund. She has also introduced us to quite different local food at lunch each day and we are now enjoying coffees at her favourite coffee shop on the river.

I had an absolutely incredible experience on my tour in Suzhou, all thanks to our amazing guide (Brenda)! She was knowledgeable, and personable, and went above and beyond to make the entire trip unforgettable. Her insights into the local culture, history, and hidden gems of Suzhou added so much depth to the experience. Whether we were exploring the beautiful gardens or walking through the charming old streets, she brought the city to life with her stories and passion for the area. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an authentic and enriching tour in Suzhou!

Our guide Brenda spoke fluent English. She was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Thanks to her explanations, we had a memorable two-day trip to Suzhou and Tongli water towns.

Our guide, Brenda with China Highlights, really made our experience unforgettable even though we were only there for a short bit of time. Brenda was really knowledgeable and helpful in telling us where to find food nearby the hotel.She took us to the water town of Tongli, and shared so much of its history as well as the history of Suzhou. She also had great conversations with us -- topics ranging from the transformation of Suzhou to how the economy in China.

I and my wife have a great time with Ms. Mulan for this couple of days.Day 1 was a rainy day, she very fast in rescheduled our itineraries. Ensuring that our tours for both days are perfect.She takes note of all the little details, brought us roasted pastry and Elephant ear pastry. She even got us into the Peace Hotel, understand the history and watch a singer with the famous Jazz band performances.Thanks for the good times.

We visited Shanghai as our last stop of our China trip and had a great time before heading back! Shanghai is indeed the financial hub as it has lots of big and modern malls! Thanks to our tour guide Kris, for showing us around the modern and vibrant city! Kris has very good recommendations of food and also arranged transportation for us even after our regular tour! We are truly blessed and thankful to China Highlights for the amazing tour arrangements!

After going through immigration and customs at Pudong International Airport, our travel guide Kenny Wang was waiting for us to escort us to our car. Kenny was fluent in English and had an encyclopedic knowledge of Shanghai and all of the many places that we visited over the course of our weeklong visit. Kenny also recommended attending an exhibit at the Shanghai Museum which featured exhibits from ancient Egypt and China which was one of our tour highlights. When we wanted to change a scheduled visit, Kenny expertly accomplished a visit to a different location. Kenny assisted us in every way imaginable throughout our trip and made our visit to China one of our best trips ever.

We stayed in Zhangjiajie for 2 days and besides the colder weather we really enjoyed the outdoors and the beautiful mountains. I would highly recommend Wendy as a tour guide. She knows all of the locations very well and the best food we had was in Zhangjiajie.

My wife and I with 2 other couples have just completed a 10-day tour of Ziangjiajie that was conducted by China Highlights. Needless to say we were very impressed by the spectacular geological features, the sceneries and such man-made attractions as the glass bridge. Even more impressive was the tour itself: everything was up to expectations and ran like clockwork from the moment we arrived at the airport to the point of departure. We are especially grateful to the guide, Wendy, who was excellent. She spoke good English, was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend her to anyone planning to visit this area.

I had an amazing time at Zhangjiajie and already started to miss this beautiful scenic. We area a group of 6 people from Malaysia.Very well organised from pickup to departure. The car provided were new and big and clean. More than enough space for 6 of us with big luggages. Special mention must go to Wendy Yi our English speaking guide for the 7days. She was a gem. Most helpful and accomodating. We changed the routes almost everyday as there were some parts that we were not so bothered with. Very patient with some of us whom had difficulty walking and stayed with us until the end of each day back to the hotel. Excellent 5* to her attitude. No rushing through each day to finish. No tourist traps. No marketing. Made the holiday very enjoyable and easy. Very good English as well and pre-empted our needs.

Our 7 days Yunnan trip with China Highlights started at Kunming then took us all the way to Dali, Lijiang and Shangri La. Visiting Yunnan in December during winter time was interesting, less crowded and most importantly enable us to see Yunnan in a different landscape. A special mention to our fantastic guides, May (in Kunming) and Sunny (in Dali) and their respective drivers who were personable and shared a wealth of knowledge and insights of the places we visited. They spoke good English, helpful with our requests and ensured that we were comfortable and satisfied with our tours. We will not hesitate to use China Highlights again for our next trip to China!

My family really enjoyed our time with Eleanor in Lijiang. She was able to pass on a lot of knowledge about her city which made the trip lots more interesting! We enjoyed having her guide us to amazing places. She was really attentive when one of us were feeling sick at the top of the mountain and provided us all with adaquete preparation for the 4000km+ altitude ascension.

We spent a fabulous week traveling through Yunnan. Our guides, Jack (Shangri la) Alice (Lijiang) Frank (Dali) and Rosemary (Kunming) all have deep knowledge of their cities and did an excellent job showing us their home areas. Our driver Mr Liu was also excellent taking us safely from place to place. This China Highlights trip was as advertised and we highly recommend it.

Our trip to Yunnan was amazing and there were a tonne of well thought out activities to entertain everyone. Our guides May (Kunming), Sally (Dali), Alice (Lijiang), Daniel (Lijiang), Pema (Shangri-La) and driver 尹光涛师傅 were very knowledgeable and thoughtful. We also made some ad hoc adjustments to the itinerary which was facilitated by the guides.

We went to Lijiang, Shaxi and Dali. My second time, my family’s first time. It was absolutely amazing, an experience filled with culture, nature and delicious foods. I would strongly recommend China Highlights to organise this trip for you as they know exactly what to show you and their service is excellent. Big shoutout to Coco, our agent who never disappoints. To Eleanor, our very capable and friendly guide in Lijiang. To Frank, our amazing, caring and extremely knowledgeable guide in Shaxi and Dali (no guide will ever take photos as good as Frank, trust me ;)

One of the highlights was strawberry picking, and the farmers market was such an exciting experience! We also got to try our hand at making tie-dye prints, which was so much fun. We visited a Chinese embroidery shop and ended up buying some beautiful pieces. Of course, we couldn’t miss the Three Pagodas, which were absolutely stunning. And our first-ever tea-tasting experience was amazing—plus, we brought some tea home to remember it by!

We had a phenomenal trip of Dali and Shaxi with Daisy. She was kind, courteous, smiling, on time and constantly went out of her way to accommodate and help us with anything and everything. She has in depth understanding of the area, history, things to do, where / what to eat, historical perspective, good locations for photographs, and much more. Can't recommend her enough for Dali and Shaxi, 5 stars all the way!!

China Highlight as a tour agent was fantastic. The driver and tour guide assigned were great. We went Dali and Frank the tour guide coordinated well with the driver. Frank is so knowledgeable and experienced as a tour guide. So he was able to bring us to all the places where the food all tasted great and environment was perfect. He also knew the best photo taking spots and helped us take so many nice pictures. He also brought some local fruits for us and cut them up during lunch. His efforts are totally commendable!

Lulu, our tour guide in Kunming is a very gentle & friendly person. She took such a great care of us during the whole journey.

I could not have wished for a better guide than Luna. She was interesting, funny, amicable, knowledgeable, patient, inventive and the most wonderful person I could have spent the day with. The program was very interesting, and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself today. At the end of hour trip we discussed my train trip to Laos and she reminded me to get a paper ticket and went out of her way to help me find instructions how to go about that. Luna is a total treasure, and she set a very high bar for other future guides to measure up to.

Our tour guides and drivers were very knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. The guides and drivers shared interesting insights and anecdotes which helped us better understand the culture and history of Yunnan. The itinerary was well planned and the pace was comfortable for us. We were impressed by the guides who went the extra mile to help us get through the packed train stations and tourist attractions. While some roads in Yunnan were not easy to navigate, the drivers were highly professional and we felt safe during the entire ride. We enjoyed the passion, professionalism and great service from guides and drivers in all 3 cities (Kunming, Dali and Lijiang) but special mention needs to be made of: - Sally (guide for Dali) who was 200% attentive towards the needs of the elderlies in our group, passionate and highly professional in her work, punctual, advocates for her guests - Mr Xu (driver for Dali and Lijiang) who displayed a high degree of professionalism in ensuring punctuality and safety during the trip. When our Lijiang guide needed rest during a car ride, Mr Xu promptly took over, explaining the history and trivia of the locations we were visiting - and his knowledge gives many tour guides out there a good run for their money! - Lina (guide for Kunming) whom we made a spontaneous request to help us identify a traditional Chinese medication - she immediately went on her phone to search for

My husband and I had the best time in Huangshan with our guide, Tony. We were very lucky that the weather was clear when we were on the mountain because the views we had were incomparable! Tony also told us the best spot to experience sunrise on the mountain which was absolutely magical and 100% worth the hour of hiking in the dark. Tony was also an extremely kind and knowledgeable guide with so much insight, not only of the mountain, but also the local people and the surrounding area. He ensured that we had the best time and were safe at all time, especially when taking on the more challenging climb. We only managed to stay here for 2 nights but will definitely return for a longer stay and explore the rest of the hiking trail we didn't manage to explore this time around!

We got amazing views to the mountains and our guide Tony helped us get many spectacular views including the sunset by tailoring our itinerary as per the local conditions. I will recommend Tony as he has deep understanding of the area and is very friendly! Special thanks to Liberman for helping create the itinerary!

Susan (our guide) is so cooperative with everything that we needed, she explained a lot of aspects of the ways the Chinese culture.The tea plantation has to be the most beautiful part of the itinerary, it's just so beautiful and meeting the local woman (can't recall her name) where she showed us what tea means to the Chinese culture (it's not just a drink) and scenery was just breathtaking. The guide will always make the difference in any itinerary, and Susan made the difference in this one. Would definitely recommend it. Thanks

Wir haben einen Tagesausflug von Shanghai aus nach Hangzhou gemacht. Es war ein absolut beeindruckendes Erlebnis! Bereits die Fahrt mit dem High Speed Train war irre. Unsere Führerin Jill hat uns zuverl?ssig vom Bahnhof abgeholt. Mit dem Minibus ging es an den Westsee, zum Lingyin Tempel und in die Altstadt. Jill war sehr kompetent und ist bereitwillig auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Im Tempel waren sehr viele Menschen, Jill kannte alle Schleichwege und hat uns geschickt durch die Menge gelotst. Sie war st?ndig in Kontakt mit unserem Fahrer, so dass wir nie warten mussten. Absolut empfehlenswert!

The trip to Hangzhou was the most enjoyable for my family. The itinerary was well planned and the tour guide 章珂烨 was one of the best that we have come across.She’s bubbly, keen and enthusiastic. She went out of her way to ensure we had a great trip and experience. What impresses me is that she knew that we never had experience taking the high speed rail to Shanghai and she spent time to explain to us and even drew out a map of the checks that we are going to encounter. We went to visit the tea plantation and had a great time at 娜娜’s home. 娜娜 was also great at explaining about tea and the processes involved.
